- A closing even par 71 was good enough for Kevin Dugas of Carman Creek,
in Fredericton, NB, to take low professional honors, with a two round
total of 70-71=141 and a one shot margin at the Nova Scotia Open.
Runner-up was Shane Grinton of Penn Hills, who closed with a final round
70 for a total of 72-70=142. Third place went to Dallas Desjardins of
Eagles Glenn with 72-71=143. Mike Perry of Stonehurst Golf Center shot
73-71=144 for fourth and in fifth place was Richard Dumeah of Osprey
Ridge with 73-74=147.
The annual event, presented by Fletcher Leisure Group,
was contested over the tight 6,200 yard, par 71 layout at the Mountain
Golf Club, outside of Truro, NS, and attracted 35 CPGA Atlantic
professionals as welll as a large amateur field.
The Nova Scotia Open is the second event on the 2006
CPGA Atlantic Tour.
