- Chad Pearson and Keith Wilesmith of Chester Golf Club, Chester, NS,
recorded a team best ball score of five under par 66 and a one shot
victory at the Callaway Cup Head Pro Assistant Pro on Monday 8 June.
Displaying consistent play throughout the round, Pearson and Wilesmith
recorded five birdies and thirteen pars in the first event on the CPGA
Atlantic Tour for 2009.
In second spot was the team of David Perry of Ashburn, Halifax, NS and
David Campbell of The Algonquin, St Andrews, NB with 67. Third place,
with 68’s, was shared by the teams of Nick Peters, Belvedere and Sean
Joyce, Canadian Golf Academy; Gordie Smith and Jimmy Jozwiak of Ashburn;
and Greg Sutherland and Jon Garron of Truro Golf Club.
A field of twenty teams of Canadian PGA Atlantic
professionals contested the event in great spring conditions over the
always challenging 6,400 yard, par 71, Abercrombie Country Club in New
Glasgow, NS.

The next Callaway Cup event will be a Pro-Pro team
