Hockey Game
We initiated a fun hockey game this year,
held during the time that we were in metro Halifax for our merchandise show,
fall meetings and awards dinner. The game pitted the Young Guns (34 and
younger) against the Old Guys (35 and older), as we do in our Elder’s Cup.
The game trophy was named in honour of Jerry Byers, a long-time member and
past president of our Zone, who died in 2006. Jerry was a first round draft
pick of the Minnesota North Stars in 1972.
The Young Guns and the Old guys battled to an 8 – 8 draw and are hoping for
a rematch in the spring.
