The Lynx at Kingswood Park
Incredible golf, recreation and fitness at its best

Nestled in the capital city of New Brunswick is a unique sports and recreational complex that caters to families, offering a variety of options to keep you fit and entertained. Top-notch golf, bowling and gymnastics may be enjoyed, along with a superb fitness facility Younger children may attend day camps, where they are supervised and instructed in numerous activities. There is something for everyone. A family destination that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, year round. For today’s active families, Kingswood Park is a dream come true.

Located only six minutes from the city’s downtown district, the jewel of this recreational complex is the golf course. The Lynx at Kingswood Park is Eastern Canada's premiere golf destination. Designed by Cooke Huxham International, the layout offers a unique natural environment and challenging play for all experience levels. In a part of the country rich with natural beauty, golfers will be rewarded with an exceptional golf experience. The Lynx provides dramatic shot-making tests and spectacular elevations as well as a wide-ranging assortment of holes that will encourage you to return. Rock outcroppings emerge on the layout and there is a spectacular waterfall on number 14.
Last year, The Lynx hosted the CPGA Atlantic Assistant professional’s championship, won by Jason Snow of Hampton Golf & CC.
Risk and reward opportunities will challenge the skills of the novice and the most prepared players. Five sets of tee decks allow the course to play from 5,236 to a championship length of 7,007 yards, par 72.
"This golf course is visually stunning with sculpted ponds, wild untouched marsh, several sod wall bunkers and mature sentinel White Pines, one of our finest projects to date,” testifies course architect, Graham Cooke.
The practice facility is second to none. There are five target greens, each with a sand trap, so you get the feeling that you are actually playing a golf hole, with each practice shot.. The range has tee decks at each end. One end is for public practice and the other end for instruction. A chipping green and putting green round out this part of the facility. Individual and group lessons with CPGA head professional, Chris Billings, are available. For further information call 506) 443-3333
A nine-hole executive course will open this season. It will be popular with beginning golfers, young and old, and be an integral part of the children’s day camp offerings. Future plans call for the construction of a “lodge,” that will serve as the golf course clubhouse as well as host to corporate functions throughout the year.

“We have a very attractive product here for parents,” admits Billings.
“They have no worries dropping their children off to participate in our day camps. They know that we have competent and enthusiastic staff who supervise and instruct a multitude of recreational activities, including golf skills.”

A Future Links golf facility, The Lynx at Kingswood probably introduces 150 children to golf, each week.

“ Obviously over the summer we have repeat participants, but even so, 500 to 600 young people are exposed to the game of golf each season,” reports Billings.
The Lynx at Kingswood Park takes pride in the fact that they create a friendly and relaxed golf atmosphere and enthusiastic service, all at an affordable cost.
In addition to all the great golf, there are a multitude of other activities to be enjoyed at Kingswood. For the active bowler, there are 30 lanes of candlepin and 6 lanes of ten-pin bowling.

The Cosmic Zone features over forty games of challenge, skill and activity.
Extreme laser tag, in a 2500 square foot arena, complete with UV lighting, music and sound effects presents the ultimate challenge. Indoor play climber and an inflatable castle and airplane are popular with younger children.

Kingswood Gymnastics is the only gymnastics club in the city and served as the host-training center for the Canadian National Gymnastics Team, during preparations for the 2000 Olympic Games.

The Kingswood Fitness center is a top-of-the line training facility for people of all fitness levels. Qualified personal trainers are available to provide safe and helpful training methods. The surroundings are cheerful and the work out equipment is state-of-the art
