Brian Stewart Captures 2005 CPGA Atlantic
Assistant Professionals' Championship

Brian Stewart, assistant professional at Fredericton Golf & CC, Fredericton, NB captured the 2005 CPGA Atlantic Assistant Professionals' Championship by one stroke over Jeff Wood, assistant professional at Moncton Golf & CC, Riverview, NB.

Thirty-seven assistant professionals from throughout Atlantic Canada played in the event, sponsored by Taylor Made, Adidas and Maxfli August 22-23 at the 6,650 yard, par 72 course at Anderson's Creek, Stanley Bridge, PEI.

Stewart fired consistent rounds of 71 -71 for a two under par total of 142. Wood recorded 70 -73 for a 143. Trevor Giggey, of Fox Meadow, Stratford, PEI was third at 72 -73 =145 and Jeff Hughes, Brudenell in Montague, PEI was fourth with 77 -69 = 146.
