Mayberry and Snow Capture Hampton Triple Six
Host pros score one shot
victory in team event

27, 2002) Host professionals Duncan Mayberry and Jason Snow fired rounds of
68-69=137 for a seven-under par total and a one shot victory in the Hampton
Triple Six team championship held over the weekend at the Hampton Country Club,
Hampton, N.B.
In runner-up spot were Stu Musgrave, pro
at Lingan, Sydney, N.S. and Chris Bunting, pro Glasgow Hills, New Glasgow, PEI
at 138, following rounds of 68-70 over the well conditioned 6,300 yard, par 72
layout, near Saint John, N.B.
Tied for third at 139 were the pro teams
of Shannon Grinton - Chris Irwin and Kevin Dugas – Doug Sullivan.
Fifth in the pro division were the teams
of Shawn Miller-Frank McShane and Kyle Maguire-Tim McCullum tied at 140.
Tied for seventh in the pro field were
the teams of Chris Billings-Scott McNabb,
Dave Bowlan-Duane McGregor and Scott
Nickerson-Bill Nickerson
Low amateur team was Tim Breen and Greg
Breen, of Hampton who tallied rounds of 70 each day for a four-under par total
of 140. Runner-up amateur team was Mike Breen and John Breen at 143. Low senior
team was Grant Dickinson and Marty Winslow at 145.
The Hampton Triple Six Championship is the opening event
on the Maritime Pro-Am Tour. It features an innovative format in which
two-player teams play six holes of “Alternate Shot”, six holes of “Scramble” and
six holes of “Best Ball”. The format of play rotates in each round.
